Anonymous: hi joey! can i ask, do you study fine arts or illustration at uni? im in year 12 and teachers are pushing me to look for unis and i would love to do arts, specifically illustration but i dont know whether to do fine art or specifically illustration - or neither as everyone is telling me i wont ever get a job if i go into arts.. x thanks lov u n ur work

I studied illustration/animation (and I just graduated, toot toot!). The big difference that I can really advise you, is that studying illustration is more commercially led- you’ll be responding to live briefs etc, whereas fine art will expand your own practice?? REMEMBER IF YOU LOVE SOMETHING YOU WILL FIND A WAY TO MAKE IT UR JOB!!! thank you love u 2
